In diesem Praxisworkshop werden wir nach einer Einführung in das Thema und die Herausforderungen, die diese Intersektionalität begleiten, über die Bedeutungen für die Geflüchtetenhilfe diskutieren. Anschließend arbeiten wir gemeinsam aus, was wir in der Göttinger Region in die Wege leiten können. Dieser Workshop findet in Kooperation mit dem Büro für Integration der Stadt Göttingen und Landkreis Northeim statt, und wird zusammen von Mitarbeitenden des Queer Refugees Deutschland (LSVD e. V.), dem Queeren Zentrum Northeim und BiPlus Göttingen durchgeführt. 

Der Workshop richtet sich an Hauptamtliche und Ehrenamtliche der Geflüchtetenhilfe und Integrationsarbeit, sowie andere Multiplikator*innen und LSBTIQA*-Aktivist*innen. Bitte geben Sie bei der Anmeldung Ihre Sprachwünsche (Deutsch/Englisch) an.

Aufgrund derzeitiger Corona-Regelungen sind die Plätze begrenzt, sodass eine Anmeldung vorab notwendig ist. Neuen Rathaus gilt Abstand halten und Maskenpflicht, am Sitzplatz kann die Maske abgenommen werden. Bei Einlass wird die Einhaltung von 3G überprüft und die Kontaktdaten erfasst. Die Reglungen können sich aufgrund des Infektionsgeschehens kurzfristig ändern. Die Räume sind barrierearm zugänglich.

Workshop: LGBTI* Refugees

Sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) are recognized as asylum claims by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the EU, but the process to recognition as LGBTI * refugees remains burdensome. There is still need for action, particularly when it comes to protecting these refugees in the countries of arrivals. In this practical workshop, we provide an introduction to the topic and discuss the challenges of this intersectional issue of LGBTI* refugees. We will then focus on the practical implications for refugee relief and what we can specifically initiate in the greater Göttingen region. This workshop takes place in cooperation with the Office for Integration of the City of Göttingen and Landkreis Northeim, and is conducted by members of Queer Refugees Germany (LSVD e.V.), the Queer Center Northeim and BiPlus Göttingen.

The workshop is designed for staff and volunteers in refugee aid and integration work, as well as other multipliers and LGBTIQA* activists. Please specify your language requirements (German/English) when registering.

Due to current COVID19 regulations, spots are limited, so registration in advance is required. It is mandatory to keep distance and wear a mask in the New Town Hall, masks may be removed while seating. Upon arrival the 3G status is checked and you are required to provide contact information. The regulations may change at short notice due to the infection situation.
